I’ve arrived at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel for a convention full of murder and larceny –  CrimeFest 2018. This is the tenth anniversary of the event, which “was created following the hugely successful one-off visit to Bristol in 2006 of the American Left Coast Crime convention. The British hosts were encouraged to continue with a similar annual event and, as a result, the first CRIMEFEST was organised in June 2008. The convention has grown to become not only one of the biggest crime fiction events in Europe, but also one of the most popular dates in the international crime fiction calendar.”

With over 150 authors and four days of panels and events in two to three tracks per day, this is going to be a very busy convention. And as you can see from the venue and the facilities, this is definitely a very well supported one. More detailed reports soon. Crime does pay!
