This may be a bit late notice, but there are still a few hours left in the day. Amazon’s running a pretty nice one-day sale for Amazon Prime members on some refurb devices.

The Kindle probably isn’t worth it when you can pay $10 more and have a Paperwhite, and the Voyage probably isn’t worth it at only $20 off its normal price, but those other prices are generally pretty good—especially the Fire HD 8, for $10 less than a regular Fire 7. Remember, you can install the Google Play Store and a new launcher on the Fires without even having to root. With those modifications, the HD 8 is one of my favorite cheap tablets yet, and you just can’t beat that price.

Amazon is also running some special deals on Kindle Unlimited and Audible, among others, and you can always install the free Kindle app on any device you have.

There will undoubtedly be a number of other good e-reading-related deals as we approach Prime Day, July 16. Remember that if you’re not a Prime subscriber yet, there’s still time to sign up!
